We went to a nice restaurant for dad’s 68th birthday. Me chells is on Shirvan Road in the tourist area of the island and it was loaded with atmosphere. We ate outside on the covered patio with beautiful, well manicured plants and greenery all around. The food was pretty good. The elders came to our apartment later for cake and ice cream. We finished reading the Book of Mormon on his birthday, completing it in the 30 days as we were challenged to do by our mission president. We have seen the Book of Mormon in a different light since we have been on our mission. We are reading it though the eyes of the people here. It is awesome! Our testimonies grow daily as we read.

Wow, a baptism in the ocean! How cool is that. So, do you feel like you guys are starting to have more of the experiences you envisioned having as missionaries? These kinds of stories are so fun to hear.

Yes, this is much closer to what we envisioned. The office experience was good background for us to do a better job here. We now know who to contact with questions and concerns and we have a relationship with them already, like, Brother Jasper the facilities person for the mission. We would like to find a bigger, better building to meet in. We are outgrowing our current facility.
