Feezing in Trinidad

Yes, we are freezing in the office. It has been in the high 60's for the last 3 or so weeks, since the rainy season began. We frequently go outside to warm up. Dad bought a jacket yesterday to wear in the office. Someone came today and took the temperature getting a 64 degree reading. If we were walking or playing tennis, the temperature would be perfect, but we sit, sit, and sit. They will try to adjust it to 70. We will see how it is tomorrow. I have been wearing my panty hose for warmth. I am glad I brought 2 jackets and a sweater. They have been worn a lot lately. All of the stores in the mall are cold and many of the clerks wear sweaters and jackets. Weird! when they could just adjust the AC and save money.

We have been hovering around 100 degrees here in Page. We are so glad to have a heat pump now rather than our swamp cooler as the monsoon is approaching. I guess we Americans are all soft as we are so used to our climate controlled houses and buildings. They finally fixed the heat pump at our church building a couple of weeks ago. You can imagine how much people were complaining when the relief society room and YW room had no A/C. I guess a lot of the adult women were even leaving after sacrament meeting because they were too uncomfortable. I remember reading that your building just opens a set of louvers. How spoiled we are here! (-;

Yes, just louvers, no glass or screens. The air just blows through. I always dress cool on Sunday and warm for the office. Everyone is still wearing sweaters. The Green's brought in their winter coats that they took to the MTC. They didn't have the luxury of going home to drop off extra stuff because they are from Texas.
